Puffed Wheat Cake

Ingredients:

1/2 cup margarine
1/2 cup corn syrup
1 cup brown sugar (packed)
2 tbsp. cocoa
1 tbsp. vanilla
8 cups puffed wheat

Directions:

1. Measure out the puffed wheat into a big bowl.
2. In a pot, melt the margarine on medium to high heat.
3. Grease a 8" x 8" pan with 1 tsp. of the melted margarine - be sure to ge tthe bottom and sides of the pan.
4. Add the corn syrup, brown sugar, cocoa and vanilla to the pot and mix well.
5. When the mixture begins to bubble - turn the heat to medium and let it boil for 3minutes or until the sugar is dissolved. Be sure to keep stirring it!
6. Pour the mixture over the puffed wheat and stir with a spatula (rubber/silicone scraper). Be sure all puffed wheat is coated with the mixture.
7. Pour the coated puffed wheat into the greased pan and pack it down using the spatula or your greased hand.
8. Cool, then cut into squares and enjoy!

This was really easy to make and tasted very good. I had tried to make this before (with a diffrent recipe) but it didn't work out. Thanks for sharing this one, I will definetly be making this again.
